dns issues lately were caused by my openwrt router clock somehow being skewed by about 30 days?? whaaat. ntp wouldnt work bc dns was broken (DoT upstream..yep.) fixed it manually and made sure ntp was enabled. hopefully this won't happen again, but if it does, i have notes now.
