Universe 5 is an alternate iteration of a dark future timeline. The sam in this universe is from the prime universe future timeline but moved to this alternate version of future Mario's timeline. This version has not time traveled. Their goal is to restore their world to normal.

Universe 4 is the home of the first chaos variant. Chaos was born out of damario's dormant demon and the dark star. This variant is basically insane and unhinged, and it is also a MASSIVE troll and instigator. He is just a guy that likes... well chaos. He's silly like that.

Universe 3 is the reality of a Sam who fully embraced his destiny form and became the god of reality. He watches over all worlds and mastered reality itself. He even trained the spirit squad in disguise under the alias "Master Kenshi" he's one of the most powerful characters I got.
