First night in the new place. Right now, I don't give a fuck. I just want to sleep & not be in pain, but I fear it's still smelling too much of paint and new furniture. A subtle wax melt can only do so much. One thing I know for sure already, though: I'm not missing the slanted walls. Ah well… 💤

Which one?! 😩 The lamp's gonna stand on a dark brown side table next to a medium grey sofa. They're similar in size. I love the darker base of the one on the right, but the textured shade of the other one (not available on its own) probably makes better light and has a nicer colour.

My first Christmas tree since, uhm, 2001, I think. It's tiny and fake but looks surprisingly good. Yay. 🎄 I have to tweak the branches a bit more. There's still mostly chaos in the new place but I hope the worst will be gone by Wednesday. I might decorate the tree then. If I can still move. 🫩

Happy Birthday to my husband who is turning 47 and spent most of the day freeing the new flat from chaos. Not a great way to spend the day. And to my favourite director, Steven Spielberg, who is just one year away from 80. 😲 Wasn't it just yesterday that he first brought dinos to the big screen?
