"Illumination" is a triptych of contemporary collages rethinking medieval illustrated texts in modern contexts. Extraordinary men and women shining gold into the common life. Bringing silence and balance to a multitude of words. I'm so proud of these.

It's impressive how TikTok delivers what I post way better than Instagram. The results are undeniable. And this is sad cause what I really wanted was a platform where people that followed me could see still pics, not videos (much easier to produce etc)... What Instagram used to be eons ago.

Last night I recorded the process of making a new collage. I spent more time editing it than making the art 🤣. I hate making content, but the good part about it is that it forces me to register a portfolio. Enjoy.

Next week I'll get super focused on making new collages. I'll try producing two or three per day on my vacation days (three weeks, thanks God!). For now let me repost the last one and an observation drawing study from yesterday.

It's impressive the kind of treasure you find at thrift book shops. Especially on those "90% off aisle" with books so niche and outdated "nobody wants them". Treasure island for collages.

My brain kept me awake last night until 2AM thinking and writing a personal collage manifesto. It's still not done yet, but as soon as it is I'll translate it and make it public. It's quite hard to make it about "why" and not "how" .

The Mouth Of Winter is my new serialized horror novella. It's 25 chapters of folk horror set on a mountain in winter, and nobody's having a good time. If you liked Drithwyn Weald, you'll probably like this.

Mondo magazine really had an immaculate aesthetic and beautifull spreads. Endless reference for early-90s cyberpunk stuff.

There's a very unique aesthetic on Brazilian center-west cavalcades. The masks, the horns, the warm blue sky.

Remember, if someone is excited about something they're dedicating their time making, replying to them to say how you don't like that thing makes you a dickhead

Lately I've been playing Glide, a solo map-making TTRPG by
@sasquatchgames.ca
and been thinking on how A6 sketchbooks really fit for the usual solo experience of RPGs (journaling ones or not). Usually hand stitched and with only 48 pages, they lower the entry bar and can be carried on your pocket.
