Just saying, Prism has a fairly direct way of answering "I want to do X with my inferno (or other) power, how hard is that?" that's worth seeing.

I'll be promoting the second edition of my criminal gig economy TTRPG starting next year. The PDF and pregens are all ready to go. 8 PCs + 3 NPCs that are interrelated in a criminal social solar system.

I'm gonna have a tier for the Old the Cold the Bold second edition crowdfund that includes a PDF of Prism. I'm going to call it Orcanized Crime.

Tonight, we finally wrapped a 3-year, 25-session TTRPG campaign of PRISM by @widdledragon.bsky.social, with each Discord session lasting an hour. In a diceless game about gay mermaids, we managed to make some trenchant commentary about mortality, art, and love. And PCs never fail to surprise you.

I just got my copy of Lumberjills by @warbirds.bsky.social this is also a reminder helping designers that can't conduct a hype train all on their own (due to any number of circumstances) is crucial to the sustainability of the indie gaming community. They deserve as much love as the popular kids.

My friend @rustysellsword.bsky.social is an awesome indie ttrpg dad and one of the reasons I was able to finish my very first game because he and @ayvalentine.bsky.social knew what the game was supposed to do even before I realized it myself.

One of my favorite sessions of my first ttrpg, Prism, was at @bigbadcon.bsky.social when a bro (toothed fish: shark) from the Rouge Realm and her wife (plant folk: waterwheel) were expecting mothers, and hosted a baby shower that turned into an epic camping adventure.

2025 is up in the air, so maybe be gentle to con staff and volunteers this year. We're all out here just trying our best. 2024 was rough and I'm sure plenty of us nerds since most of us are physically falling apart anyway still haven't recovered.

Abyssal by @ashcheshire.bsky.social and @glaiveguisarme.com and @evilhat.bsky.social is really cool. It's a monster metaphor ttrpg that gives you a sense of what you'll be doing during a session/campaign just by looking at the character sheet, and I'm a fan of both the cake and the frosting.
