Breaking the taboo around IBD. Yesterday, Morten Norup Westfall, living with Crohn’s disease, and Tine Jess, Center Director, gave a joint lecture at Folkeuniversitetet in Copenhagen, raising awareness and shedding light on how research can contribute to better prediction, prevention, and care.

It has been a fruitful day for our OPTICS group meeting with collaborators across disciplines and from around the world, ambitiously aiming to elucidate the role of microplastics as risk factors of IBD, specifically regarding the yet unexplained segmental intestinal inflammation of Crohn’s disease.

Laparoscopic surgery is generally believed to have a lower risk of adverse pregnancy and birth outcomes than open surgery.
