In our latest study, we found that patients with both giant cell arteritis and diabetes had significantly higher mortality than those with either condition alone. Our findings suggest that comorbidities may provide important prognostic information beyond the inflammatory disease alone.

It has been a fruitful day for our OPTICS group meeting with collaborators across disciplines and from around the world, ambitiously aiming to elucidate the role of microplastics as risk factors of IBD, specifically regarding the yet unexplained segmental intestinal inflammation of Crohn’s disease.

Laparoscopic surgery is generally believed to have a lower risk of adverse pregnancy and birth outcomes than open surgery.
