I’m delighted that Grahame Park in Colindale will benefit from the Met Police’s Safer Streets Summer Initiative, backed by Labour-led City Hall. Grahame Park residents will see more police on patrol, and tougher action on thefts, burglary, knife crime and antisocial behaviour.

Delighted the Government is funding flood defences on The Greenway, which runs through Colindale and Burnt Oak in my constituency, and across the country. This money will make local homes more secure.

14 years of Conservative Government left Edgware High Street in a terrible state. I have lobbied BT to remove two phone boxes which had become a magnet for vandalism and litter. I'll continue to work hard to revitalise Edgware High Street for residents, shoppers and businesses.

A privilege to pay tribute to the work done by the Royal British Legion in Parliament. To RBL volunteers in Hendon, including the brilliant Edgware branch, who embody selflessness and duty, and for your tireless work all year round to support our servicemen and women - thank you.

Diagnosis with a comparatively rarer form of cancer can leave patients with a disproportionately lower chance of making a full recovery. We must ensure those suffering from rare and less common forms of cancer, and those yet to be diagnosed, have as much cause for hope as possible.

Following our meeting with leasehold managing agent RMG, 30 MPs have signed our letter setting out steps to delivering better service and more transparency with residents. You can read the commitments RMG have agreed to here. We will continue to hold them to account on behalf of our constituents.

I've just co-chaired a meeting with RMG, one of the country's largest leasehold managing agents. Residents like the ones I've met in Beaufort Park in Colindale are paying too much for a poor standard of service. We're making sure that changes.

One in two us will develop cancer in our lifetimes. It was a privilege to visit Chai Cancer Care at their HQ in Hendon yesterday to see the amazing work they do to help people living with Cancer and meet their inspiring staff. Thank you for all you do.

Online scams are hugely worrying for people in Hendon and across the UK. One of my constituents told me they were scammed out of £40,000. The last Tory government let fraud spiral out of control. Thankfully, this Labour government is determined to tackle fraud and economic crime as a priority.

Residents in Ridgeway Views in Mill Hill have been getting a raw deal from FirstPort and Barratt. I’m determined to help. Good to spend the afternoon meeting with the residents’ association to hear about the issues they’re facing & discuss next steps.

A few weeks ago, we questioned the MD of FirstPort and demanded they improve their service. On Wed, myself and Rachel Blake along with over 30 of our Labour colleagues have written to the MD of RMG-who manage over 80 sites across the country-to ask them to come to Parliament and explain themselves.

The last Tory Government allowed public sector fraud to spiral hopelessly out of control. It has tripled since 2010. They allowed billions of taxpayers’ money - our money - to be stolen. Luckily this Government will tackle fraud head-on.

Today I met with the CEO of @nhghousing.bsky.social who manage over 2,000 homes in Hendon - especially in Colindale. I’m hearing the same complaints about them too often. Unexplained service charge increases. An inadequate standard of service provided. A lack of transparency.

It's been one of the most exciting days since Labour won the election. The Chancellor’s speech was all about showing what Labour does in power. But today’s announcements were only possible thanks to the tough decisions we’ve made to date. Economic growth relies on stable foundations.
