Well um, years over soon. Gotta say a lot has fucking happened, including graduating University and going into the working world (joy…), moving and getting comfortable in a new place and a lot more. Aside from shit outside of my control, it’s been a rollercoaster of a year more than others.

It's good that they do, but I hope they're left to explore it on their own terms. Some people can be really frickin' weird about how younger people 'should' interact with retro tech. And with some of it, hacked consoles and ROMs are the only way of playing games due to the cost of some classics.

my hot take this November is that "cheater exposed" videos are a net negative to the speedrunning scene. they appeal to the base instincts of viewers and create acceptable targets of abuse. these things should be handled by moderators in private Discord servers, not shown to millions for humiliation
