Really really enjoyed reading VERSUS this week. A really strong start to a series that had me staying up late thinking about it. Kind of best to go in blind, imo! The writer is ONE, the same person behind One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100.

I was reading this and thought “Ah, this is a Harta series, isn’t it?” Looked it up and I was right! That publisher has such a distinctive look and storytelling vibe.

It's like Tsurutani is inside my head. #AmReading

Some stuff I’ve been reading recently. Skip and Loafer is so good, fantastic character writing! Having a great time with manga. Lucky to have so much good stuff to read.

I. This BL parody themed gag manga about man boobs is so funny??? Like… so amazing?? It hits right in my weird strike zone of fujoshi humor. Strong recommend to BL fans looking for something fun & wacky!!!

Another great week for new manga

Finished a short comic for a soon-to-be-announced project. ^o^ I've been so busy with my full time job(s) this past year so comics have mostly been on hold, but I'm hoping to get back into things soon!

I've been catching up on "My Hero Academia" recently. Something about this series doesn't lend itself well to binge reading for me! I can only do 1-2 volumes a day and then I need to take a break. It feels very dense, and like I need time to process the story before continuing.

“My Lovesick Life as a ‘90s Otaku” by Nico Nicholson was a fun peek into how otaku were viewed back in the 90s, and the old school way of doing things. All the references to things were really fun to spot. She loves Rukawa from Slam Dunk.

“One More Step, Come Stand By My Side” by Toryumon Takeda is a great little collection of a bunch of short stories. The art is beautiful, and the stories all have that “Harta” magazine feeling. (ya know?)
