What gets me about the "we have to keep 94" arguments is that the status quo isn't good. We have 94 now, and yet it's not "saving downtown" or making the cities vibrant or whatever. What we have is bad ... except if what you want is to damage neighborhoods so affluent people can live in the suburbs.

Minnesota failed three times here. 1. It allowed a dangerous diver keep operating an especially dangerous vehicle. 2. It set up conditions such that not-driving didn’t seem viable. 3. It didn’t provide infrastructure to effectively separate the squishy road users from the hard and fast ones.

We live in a society dominated by cars. It’s not an option for everyone to go Carfree and ride a bike, bus, train… Buying an ev does not absolve the risks caused by cars. They are just silent killers now Drive safe please

As a deeply anti-superstitious person, I find it unsettling that every time I get a flat tire, I can count on getting two more. In the last three days it was my cargo bike’s front tire (puncture), car’s rear tire, and cargo bike’s rear (faulty tube). Last time was in November - 3 flats on 3 tires.
