In Anhelos, not much. I suppose Quinn might not use his sword, but for the most part he relies on his magic in a fight. Jamie already uses a gun. Rylen, like Quinn, wouldn't change much. He doesn't like hurting people and a gun is a tool meant to cause harm.

Day 7: #NovemberWorldbuilders Quinn's sword, Slythium, is black. It's made of enhanced obsidian (enhanced meaning magic was used to purify and strengthen the rather brittle material). The only colour on the blade is a thin, jagged line of crimson along the centre of the blade- @kiraofthewind.com

Day 7: #FantasyIndiesNovember Relaxing doesn't come easily for me (not cause I'm a workaholic, more because I have anxiety). So when I try to relax it tends to be a nap or mindlessly watch television. Occasionally a puzzle can relax me if I'm in the right mood.

When I first wrote the novel I always saw Quinn as a wolf (part of why one of his summons is a wolf) but the more I look at him, I actually think a bear is more appropriate. He's very protective of those in his circle and won't hesitate to charge someone who could hurt them. Embree is a falcon-

I'll be honest. I have no idea some days with Anhelos. It's a sword and sorcery fantasy with just enough romance to have it as a subplot, but not enough to be romantasy. If anything I guess people who are interested in court drama 😂 I need to get better at this target audience thing 🤣🤣

Rylen feels the most joy with his kids or on stage at a smaller venue. There's a difference in the crowd when he's doing a smaller show vs a large stadium concert. But being home with his kids is by far his favourite. Even when they drive him nuts and he hasn't had enough sleep.
