Today is Armistice Day This is Mervyn Crawshay, son of Tudor and Maria Crawshay of Dimlands, Llantwit Major, and husband to Violet. He was a Captain in the 5th Dragoon Guards and one of the first to leave for France on active service in August 1914. He died at Messines, Belgium, on 31 October 1914.
