We learned about limericks today & now I need to find a good child-appropriate book with limericks because I think 7 would enjoy reading more of them. He wrote one too, it was about a spork (which he thought he invented once upon a time). Poetry is wonderful.

I hope one day they track down all the ICE agents and do everything that they can within the law (obviously). I hope the fear of that happening one day keeps them awake at night.

I liked it so much that I’m listening to more and now I’ve laughed so much I’m on the brink of crying and I’m not sure I’d stop if I started. This is a weird experience.

Instead of listening to an audiobook this evening I remembered that podcasts exist and listened to my favorite pod (Off Menu) and I feel better for laughing. I didn’t realise how much I needed to laugh.

Today was a good day for #homeschool. We only got through handwriting, spelling, science, geography, reading practice, & SS, BUT 7 spent a long while playing w/ water, cups, straws & working out how syphons work. We also played a lot of Mille Bornes, which is definitely helping with counting.

At least when I get an email from a company telling me that they are increasing their prices, it reminds me I have a subscription that I can cancel. Thanks, Paramount.
