I solved MISSILE COMMAND DELTA for a 3rd ending!

@atari.com released WIZORDUM today! And I'm shocked by the responses I'm seeing. People are LOVING this game! Now I need to pick up another new game, darn it!

Finally. I “turned over”/“won” DARK CHAMBERS on the @atari.com 7800 last night. Of course, it just starts back at the first level, but even harder! Still, I’m proud of myself.

2025 has been my @atari.com rediscovery year. I've bought & played (most of the way) through: Mr. Run & Jump, most of the Recharged series (Centipede, Gravitar, Yars, Missile Command, Caverns of Mars, Berzerk), Yars Rising, Breakout Beyond, I Robot, Missile Command Delta, & Adventure of Samsara.

Folks, if you have kids, this is one of the BEST two-player games. My 12 year old son & I laugh outloud at the instanity of playing multiplayer Breakout Beyond!

Thanks to a late-game save point, I have now solved MISSILE COMMAND DELTA ( @atari.com ) for 2 endings, and WHOA - they weren't kidding. It's worth attempting, because the various endings are VERY UNIQUE from one another. I'm going to try to solve for all 6!

Tonight I finished MISSILE COMMAND DELTA. Bravo @13amgames.com @mightyyell.bsky.social @atari.com! That was QUITE a ride, & worth everything it took to get there. I don’t remember the last time I enjoyed a game like that! I’m going to give it a couple weeks and try to get another ending, but WOW!!!

Since I. Love the @atari.com 7800 version of Dark Chambers so much, I thought I’d have a chuckle and play the 2600 version. People! They did a great job, especially considering the limitations! Someone needs to give that programmer a pat on the back!

FINALLY made it to level 3 of CAVERNS OF MARS (the original, not RECHARGED) & level 2 of BOUNTY BOB STRIKES BACK, & that only seems like an accomplishment if you have experienced how brutally tough these games are. I feel like a KING! @atari.com

Played through all of @mightyyell.bsky.social 's‬ Missile Command Delta... I didn't intend to play it all in one sitting but the loop of exploring and doing missile defenses hooked me good. I also did not expect how... neat... the true ending would be. 8/10 solid game, would recommend.

@atari.com Hear me out: a "recharged"-ish (but without the modern, neon-infused vector style graphics) take on Crystal Castles that combines the original level approach with something similar to Bentley Bear's Crystal Quest as transitional levels...seems we shouldn't waste such a great mascot!

@bandainamcousa.bsky.social partner with @yachtclubgames.bsky.social Club Games and make a genuine, worthwhile sequel to DIG DUG! Shovel Knight Dig is the closest there's been to a spiritual successor to the original game, so they've already developed the engine! This seems like a no-brainer!

Upcoming @atari.com games I've already pre-ordered or plan to buy; Adventure of Samara (I CANNOT WAIT!), Bubsy 4D, Namco DLC, & Fatal Run 2089 (if it releases on Switch - I hope it does. Still on the fence about Wizordum, but leaning that way - we'll wait to see some previews, etc.

@atari.com After seeing my longtime best friend also get totally obsessed with MISSILE COMMAND DELTA (he was up till 1AM last night), I think it’s safe to say that if you like the original Missile Command, and also like Myst (particularly RealMyst), MCD is 100% guaranteed to scratch your itch!

I immediately preordered ADVENTURE OF SAMSARA from @atari.com for my @nintendousa.bsky.social SWITCH! Now I can’t wait for September 4 to get here! Maybe I’ll beat MISSILE COMMAND DELTA by then? Probably not though… At this point in the game, it has gotten pretty tough. I’m not complaining!

For a few years, I was really into Fortnite. But since rediscovering @atari.com I just can’t seem to enjoy it much anymore. There is something to be said for the challenge and simplicity of old school gaming. It just doesn’t compare.
