Yesterday, my office hosted our annual Julian Katz Memorial Bike Ride down the Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach strand in honor of Julian Katz, a passionate cycling advocate in the South Bay who unfortunately passed in 2018.

President Trump recently signed his big billionaire tax break, gutting Medicaid and defunding Planned Parenthood. This means that Planned Parenthood in CA can no longer receive federal reimbursement for women's health services. I will continue to fight for Planned Parenthood and their patients.

I posthumously honored Dr. Kanji Sahara of Torrance at the CA Legislature’s AAPI Heritage Month ceremony this past week. Kanji was the driving force behind the WWII Memorial being built in Torrance to remember the Japanese Americans wrongfully incarcerated in internment camps.
