Stupidly, I was aware of both these upcoming tames, but they completely slipped my mind when I was trying to think of anything that might be in the pre-patch. In Olden Times we'd have a few new families to enjoy taming in the pre-patch, but the one family* we will be getting is Midnight-only.

I've set Magmorax's level to 75 but it's hard to tell what its max level might be, under that Boss mask. I'm also curious how low this raid scales. I don't have any suitably-levelled hunters to check. Anyone with the right resources able to help me out? :)

This is Kevin. He's a reactive dog getting some training to be more comfortable. His trainer brought him to a pet store for some socialization where they learned he is no longer reactive when given a giant stuffed dinosaur. 14/10 (TT: katieandtatesfostermates)

It sucks that this is still a thing. When a pet is designed to match a mount they should at least appear in the same game.

Oddly, this mount release hasn't been advertised yet, and the subscription page in the BattleNet Shop still shows the old offer. I presume one or more of the older mounts will be removed from the subs package (if they haven't already been), but can't confirm that yet. bsky.app/profile/warc...

I think I'm going to completely withdraw for the rest of this year. I've lost interest and enjoyment in most things. The only things that still bring me joy are actually writing my story and my cats. If I'm lucky, something will change in my life next year, we'll see.

Thinking of my gorgeous and clever girl Freya, who would have turned 35 today were she still with us. The best dog I’ve ever known. She’s immortalised at Trueshot Lodge in Highmountain (with variant name spelling because apparently ‘Freya’ is restricted).

What I don't like is the fact that I actually need dye for coloring... that's really annoying. Otherwise it's fun

I really hope we see windsteeds added to Pandaria as well. - Some of the mount flavour texts indicate they're definitely native to Pandaria. - It could be explained that - sensitive beasts that they are - they went into hiding during the major Sha eruption during our first arrival there.

@valnaaros.bsky.social has reported on a bunch of new tames on the Wandering Isle in 11.2.7. WINDSTEEDS!! And at least 4 unavailable cloud serpents. Currently, these are only accessible for Pandaren but I hope more races will have access to these tames (and the Isle!)

Next in Midnight tames: pangolins! In-game they're called "Pangos" so we're calling them that in our database. There are 5 colours, all tameable. They're classed as Scalehides, despite that otherwise being a family of reptilian creatures, but it's probably more a case of fitting them somewhere.

Finally for tonight, I added all the gorgeous new hawkstriders to our database: www.wow-petopia.com/family.php?i... Joining the Tallstrider family in Midnight, there are 6 colours and I believe all will be tameable. They closely correspond to the 6 colours of the original BC standard mount.

*smacks head* Chloroceroses are DIREHORNS, not Clefthoofs. I think the "ceros" part of their name made me assume they were plant rhinos (and yes, I'm aware that ceros just means horn :) )

Fun detected, fun denied i guess As someone who earned them back then, I actually think it's awful not to make druid forms freely available to everyone I think the glitter cats aren't accessible at all for players who didn't earn the form back then. At least the Hulkbear you can get in a new color)

Zul Aman is now open on the Midnight Alpha (Eversong now closed), so we get to see some new things! Here's a selection of tameable pangolins - simply called 'pangos'. They're classed as Scalehides, which may seem a bit odd for something that isn't a reptile but no stranger than snails as carapids*

Next in our Midnight pet showcase: two new plant dino models! Known as SAPTORS and DEVILSAPTORS (how about treeannosaurs?) they belong in Raptors & Devilsaurs, respectively. There are 6 matching colours for each. Both require the 'Florafaun' taming skill, which we haven't located yet.

Now let them have it, if it is a bug. My gawd, I earned it back then, i don't care if it's available again 🙄 Hulk bears and glitter cats for everyone!

More whiptails! - grimlynxes! These fork-tailed cats are also in the whiptail family - adding heaps more variety and bringing the total number of looks to 10. I haven't seen any in game yet, but they may be coming in Zul Aman or Harandar. www.wow-petopia.com/family.php?i...
