The best purchase I’ve made in 2025 is a £7 pair of gardening gloves. As they, along with a pair of shears & a wood saw that I already owned have enabled me to tackle overgrown and oppressive vegetation. I got rid of fb years ago, when I did have it I would occasionally post random ideas I had for modding cars (usually VWs). Quite often these thoughts would pop into my head after work, as I walked back to my car. I found this low res screenshot in my archives, I think the post was made in 2013.

The modest 2WD VW Taro is shown here. Apart from badging, no real effort was made to differentiate the model from the HiLux. The petrol and diesel engines were also Toyota units. VW slotted the vehicle in above its Golf mk1-based Caddy pick-up. It achieved modest sales before disappearing in 1997.
