I turned 40 today. My partner very kindly booked us a little getaway in a lodge in the countryside to celebrate. I woke up to all of these gifts too. I’m very lucky and very grateful.

I consider myself a good guitar player. I really struggle with odd time signatures though. I know how I’m meant to count and know what I’m meant to play but I just can’t do it. Ever. But today, after weed, I picked up my guitar and was jamming weird signatures naturally as though I was in 4/4…

I just watched a video of some shmuck “creating” a metal song. He recorded his voice “making” guitar, drum and vocal ideas then typed a prompt into his AI software and it came out sounding like a decent song. This shit has to stop. Grifters are going to make so much money ripping folks off. Shit sux

Some people already know this, others don’t – as well as Order of the Wolf, I also have an emo/pop punk project. I used to play solo acoustic shows fairly regularly but due to health and life I put it on the back burner for years. Anyway, I’m currently in the beginning stages of recording an album.
