Earlier this year, a friend asked me to create an illustrated book about a character her father used to tell her stories of in her childhood. It's so strange to hold a children's book in my hand that I created! It was a special kind of challenge, but I got to tick something off my bucket list!

What I love about writing them here is that they met long before they became Batman and Catwoman, they have a history where they knew each other when they were raw and uncertain and figuring themselves out - that’s a bond that feels deep and uncharted

After picking up these books from @thoughtbubbleuk.bsky.social can honestly say I was blown away by this collection of comics! Daniel Freedman and @crom-ink.bsky.social really knock this out of the park. Insane world building and characterisation, art is absolutely joyful and epic. Must reads!

This household loves valiant very much 😂 brilliant to see @alienbooks.bsky.social bring out some really cool collected editions from valiants line. I'd love to get them but I already own everything since the 2012 reboot to present... Maybe I'll show that off some point soon!

The first Spider-Man story I ever wrote...and it was only published in France! Marvel had their writers do plots for short stories and then a French artist and dialogue writer finished them off. Pretty sure I did more than one, but it's so long I can't swear to it.

The savage art of Ian Bertram alone is worth the price of admission for ‘Precious Metal’! The book is defo the most psychedelic comic of 2024! @dvpdirect.bsky.social does an excellent job on the story about a mercenary guy trying to rescue this magical kid from a cult! Must buy comic of the year!

Something I struggle with in pursuing a career in comic book writing is my dyslexia. I overcome it eventually but it can really kick my ass. I tend to want to know the broad strokes of a story all in my head before I actually pursue writing it. This is because I was diagnosed later in my life.

Having had a chance to get a sneak peak at this I can honestly say it's one of the most incredible comics I've laid my eyes on. Nick is one of the best writers on the indie scene and this book is stunning, so hit that notification and please back it, don't miss out on this!

Ah the page that nearly caused a domestic, (joking it did), but ended up being insanely awesome. There was a lot of discussion on how to fit so many panels on one page but Hannah absolutely nailed it. Short stories tend to have smaller panel counts per page, we tried to do the opposite with this!
