The diesel at my local supermarket here in France is now 2.20€ per litre! I put in 30€ worth and received less than 14 litres of the liquid gold. It’s raining, so I’ve decided to start Spring cleaning! Starting in the main bedroom, I have literally discovered a whole new world inside the wardrobe… I may even write a book about it(!) I’ve found clothes that I haven’t seen before, and others that are just relics… Charity shops soon then… 😃

My little minivan has just sailed through the contrôle technique, the French MoT! This is particularly pleasing as I’ve not driven it since before Christmas, having been on tour in the camper. Mind you, I had to invest a couple of hours of elbow grease to bring it back to a reasonable standard! 🚗

Middle daughter has managed to get on a plane out of Dubai. She was supposed to be going on a well earned holiday to The Seychelles, but never made it that far. Following over a week hiding in bathrooms (no windows), or occasionally under bridges, they’re now on the way back to the UK… 🤞 ✈️

Back in France. 20 hours driving over 2 days. Zombie-ish. Made the decision to remodel the inside of the camper. Sucker for punishment then. Only have 3 weeks, then back on the road. Certifiable. It’ll be fine. Don’t know about the back though. The Paracetamol Years. Another unwritten chapter… ✍🏻

Saturday again. The last day of February, and the end of our Spanish tour. I have a couple of karaoke classics lined up so can make my contribution, with some shapes thrown in for good measure. It’s been a blast on the Costas, and we’re already looking forward to next time, that’s December! 🎶🕺

Games night. Not very often I spend a Friday playing Dominoes. (Never, actually!) Tomorrow, we look forward to bingo with beer as prizes(!) tapas (questionable small plates of food), then karaoke hosted by a Cuban animator threatening to be in drag… Our final weekend on the Costa Dorada. 💃🏼☀️

Zero day. Do nothing Sunday. This follows a fab St. Valentine’s bash in the campsite bar. Around eighty Snowbirds of a certain age partied like it was 1999. It helped a lot that the meal included wine, and the Spanish vocalist was a favourite rebooked. What a great night, & slow recovery! 🪩🍷💘
