Another day of cancelling outdoor plans for my family because of wildfire smoke. We’re only in the 2nd week of June and we’ve been stuck inside for about 5 days already. It’s going to be a long summer. Even longer for our friends to the north.

It’s my 8th MLIS anniversary! MLIS-iversary? Anyways- forever a happy memory for me. I loved grad school and got a job offer the same day as graduation!

95% of the people in education and LIS who are pro-AI/genAI do not actually understand what it is and is not. They don't know how it works and don't care to learn. They've heard all the complaints about ethics, morality, legality, and environmental damage and don't care.
