Tis the season to remind Minnesotans that no matter how “rustic” they claim it is, having a family cabin is literally owning a second home.

Trying so hard to remember that everyone is at a different point in their social justice journey, but seeing people thank LEOs for peaceful protests is breaking my brain.

Another day of cancelling outdoor plans for my family because of wildfire smoke. We’re only in the 2nd week of June and we’ve been stuck inside for about 5 days already. It’s going to be a long summer. Even longer for our friends to the north.

95% of the people in education and LIS who are pro-AI/genAI do not actually understand what it is and is not. They don't know how it works and don't care to learn. They've heard all the complaints about ethics, morality, legality, and environmental damage and don't care.

Just a lil’ reminder that instead of spending money on t-shirts with quippy little sayings to publicly indicate your left leaning views, you can just donate that money to groups doing the work you support in your community.

As someone with small children who like to talk around almost all the time , I’m begging companies to stop making voice prompts the only option on phone menus. These kids keep talking and I have no idea where they are sending me 😂

Having a fun convo over on Instagram about family snacks. Lots of people share my family favorite of graham crackers with frosting that came about during WWII rationing. I’m loving how popular this snack was and wonder how many eat it today.

Few things make me livid when I see them online seeing parents proudly say they have no regrets after letting their child die of measles, a fully preventable disease, I lose it for a bit. That’s child neglect. CPS has taken Black kids for far less, and it’s infuriating to watch this go unchecked.

At its best libraries represent democratic values and the soul of its communities. Not only does it give a voice to those without rights (e.g. children), but it shares information without judgment or agenda. They are needed now more than ever. Help save them!
