There is a guaraguao (red-tailed hawk) that likes to perch in a palm tree outside my window some mornings. And all the pitirres (gray kingbirds) bully it out of the tree, follow it to the next tree, and repeat until it’s out of the neighborhood. Always makes for a noisy, hilarious morning lmao

I am in Old San Juan reporting on a fairly large (~1k) protest against a luxury hotel development in Cabo Rojo. There’ve been many protests on that side of the archipelago, but this is the first of 2026 in the metro that’s this big.
