i saw asian stone catfish at the pet store and they were so much tinier than mine, like... i regretted being unable to provide them much better care, but the ones i still have are quite energetic and still ravenous and seem to be growing...all right.

my snakes don't have the same social requirements most mammals do, and i used to think it's nice knowing they wouldn't care if i wasn't here anymore, but...they definitely know who i am relative to other people and they associate me with being annoying but also their caretaker. it's...nice.
