What a wonderful moment in #Synod .The terrible "Issues in Human Sexuality" document has been consigned to the recycling bin with huge support across the Synod, in all Houses and constituencies. Glimmers of hope.

While it’s important to be clear that Synod has not done anything to change the C of E’s position on same sex marriage for the clergy, “Issues in Human Sexuality” was a horrible, harmful document (used as it was never intended to be). I’m so glad it’s now consigned to history, on such a clear vote.

@churchofengland.org #Synod members know my penchant for making prayer bracelets and rosaries. Our @thykingdomcome.bsky.social service this year involved churches across North Ipswich and 80 people made their own prayer bracelets with five knots in them. Next year we want to see even more join us.

First day of TKC this year I had a chat in the church porch with a new friend who was carrying too much weight. Only after they had asked me to pray for them and I lit a candle for them did I remember that they were were one of the five on my list 💝
