For #BeyondFriday this week we have a film I had not heard of a week ago, David Steinberg's The Wrong Guy. Dave Foley (Kids in the Hall) writes and stars in this black comedy action/thriller parody. It sounds utterly absurd and perfect for a bank holiday Friday night. See you there.

Supervixens is darker and more vivid then you would expect. While Splitsville has plenty of big laughs and comedy slapstick fights that are surprisingly brutal. #lastfourwatched

Just a super fun performance, so much personality. My favourite Clarence moment is when he's asked to sign in at the police station and, instead of using a pen, he spits blood onto the page!

This award-winning 1967 Czech doco about Ireland is almost impossible to find so I stuck it on the you tube. Some astonishing, indelible images, an Eastern European vision of the western edge of Europe that makes it seem utterly haunted & mysterious. youtu.be/Pkl5ALvWzho?...

He was apparently cagey to work with Meyer afterwards. In the early 80s, Meyer was doing a project called Blitzen, Vixen and Harry that was intended for Napier to reprise his role from Cherry, Harry and Raquel, and Napier was in two minds, because by then he was a proper actor.
