I remember having a Donald Duck comic book where Gyro Gearloose was allowed to use technology to run the world and remove the need for anyone to do anything. It turned everyone miserable because they no longer had anything to do so they dismantled it. I think about that more than I should.

There are very few cases where the movie/TV series is better than the book. Given how wretched the book was I suspect this series has a lot of potential to be far better than the book.

We have owned a Toyota Sienna since 2013 and as much as I thought I didn't want a minivan prior to buying it, it has been an absolutely wonderful vehicle for everything our family needs. Suitcases, dog/kennel, couple weeks at a cottage, you can fit it all in there and then some.

Watch the scene where Rocky is running through the city. Notice how much smog he is running through the entire time. That’s gone now. Ditto Ontario. In 20 years we’ve gone from having multiple smog days a year to none (barring wildfires). Better is always possible even if it isn’t perfect.
