I returned to Skinflats (Forth) hoping to see one of the recent Cetti's Warblers but no joy on a beautiful sunny morning. Lots of Reed Buntings, a few Wrens & Dunnocks & Robins. Best of all was a lovely flock of ten Black-tailed Godwits. #birds #skinflats @upperforthbirds.bsky.social

Eight years ago today we lost Jimmy Steele & he is much missed. He loved geese so i visit Slamanan to watch Taiga Beans one of Jimmy's favourites. I managed around 80 birds this morning just north of the village. They were close to a mixed flock of Pinks, Canada's & a few Greylag. #birds #geese

11 November 2025 Skinflats: 1 CETTI’S WARBLER calling along the western edge of north pool early am (DOE), with no sign in pm (PC). Also 1 long-tailed duck, 1 scaup, 1 little egret. This is the 2nd record of Cetti’s wblr for Upper Forth following 1 caught & ringed at Kinneil on 13 November 2021.
