So the news this morning is OpenAI launching its browser/search engine, Atlas. Coincidence that it's the same name as the insane, despotic, God-like AI in No Man's Sky? Or does Hello Games know something we don't?

And the unpackaged planner - Hobonichi Techo personal planner with plaid cover. Delicious stationery, so much dopamine.

Just finished Joe Abercrombie's The Blade Itself. Now, I've put this one off repeatedly due to the blurb on the back - made it sound like banal, generic fantasy. Couldn't have been more wrong - it's well-written, nuanced and gritty. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Hey folks in the sky. I've been very quiet on here recently as I've been struggling through a rough patch with my mental health. As a consequence, I've been reading a lot more than usual. I'm going to share some of my reads partly as a reason to engage more on the socials.

Not this - me and Marc having a conversation and the Alexa interrupting out of nowhere to say "sorry I can't help you with that". Even the robots recognise we're beyond help.

My plot prediction for this weekβs Doctor Who is that the Daleks enter Space Eurovision and everyone feels very conflicted about whether they should still watch it but then they still watch it.

Random thought of today - social anxiety and maybe a touch of neurodivergence means I don't realise when people are flirting with me. It's a miracle I ever got laid really.

It has come to my attention that there is some confusion over the inspiration for my online name. It is not, as some have thought, inspired by the puzzle in a Nancy Drew game. I've been using Boojum since at least 2005 and was originally inspired by a Lewis Carroll poem.

I am in the mood for cheesy gay romance fiction. Has to be at least semi well-written (not interested in 50 Shades fanfic level stuff). Sexy bits not a problem as long as it's not 200 pages of smut. Any recommendations?

Most of the time my choice of reading material gravitates towards modern fantasy or sci-fi - either dystopian or space opera. I'm finding recently that my appetite for anything remotely dystopian is greatly diminished. No prizes for guessing why. I feel a trashy gay romance era coming on.

Got to love it when the medication you are on to solve one minor health issue causes another (minor) health issue so you stop taking the medication and just have to deal with both.

They say no good deed goes unpunished. At work I noticed that the milk in the upstairs fridge was all expired. Took downstairs to empty and the bottle exploded on release and covered me in 3-week expired milk. Ironically I only drink oatmilk at work/home
