The @mta.maryland.gov engineering team has determined that it is safe to resume single tracking through Howard Street. We are continuing to evaluate fixing the void.

Heads up @mta.maryland.gov Light Rail riders. When we started rail replacement work this morning our crews discovered a void under the road. To ensure the safety of our riders we have shuttle bus service available between North Ave and Camden while our crews resolve the issue.

During the snowstorm at the end of Jan we had a rail break on Howard St. The team did a temp fix then to restore full service. This weekend we'll be doing full rail replacement as a permanent fix in that area. Riders will see full service today & single tracking thru the weekend.

During an inspection this morning our @mta.maryland.gov team discovered a rail break downtown. Trains will single track while we make repairs. I'm on one of the trains impacted by this & understand the frustration. Fluctuating temps can cause these breaks & our team is working to address quickly.
