An emotional send off for Kieran Trippier: a hugely transformational signing since arriving over 4 years ago. Joined a relegation-threatened club, and played in 2 Champions League campaigns, 2 League Cup finals, lifting our first trophy in decades. A modern club legend.

3-1 West Ham Another good win and performance, despite the low stakes. Really pleased for Woltemade and Osula starting together and both scoring. Glad we’re seeing signs of life ahead of next season. Deserved ovations for Tripps and Krafth for their service. Big love for Big Nick too. 🖤🤍

Newcastle 3-1 Brighton Much needed win and a marked improvement 1st half. We looked nervy after the break, and I’m still confused about team selections and politics involved. But finding goalscoring form has been something we’ve lacked for far too long, Osula did well today. Big Joe too. 🖤🤍

No lessons learned from that first corner. Eze left free at the edge of the box with a 15 yard radius around him. Great finish, but so, SO easy. Scandalous defending, we fully deserved that. What are we doing?? FFS.

Hard to know what to say anymore. Another turgid, cowardly display. Too scared to battle, too scared to cross and we lacked leadership for most of the game. When senior players came on, we were chasing the game - not nearly enough quality front to back. Really grim.

Catastrophic result. Should’ve been picking up 4-6 points the last 2 games, not 0. Both games we took the lead. Season seems done, the players are spent, mentally we’re completely shot. So furious at how bad our trajectory is right now. It’s unacceptable & so exhausting.

*Newcastle 1-1 Barca* How often are we going to get fucked by biased refs dazzled by the badges of elite clubs? Zero integrity. Robbed of a famous win tonight after a class performance. By far the better team, Barca struggled with our pace, intensity & physicality - they deserved nothing. 🖤🤍

Encouraging 1st half, but we crumbled after the equaliser. Man City made the 2nd half look far too easy, and scoring so soon after HT killed the tie. We had an eye on Barca, but City bringing on Cherki, Foden and Semenyo off the bench showed the gulf in quality and depth.

An absolutely stunning performance in the face of adversity, once again. We showed fight, character and resilience to see off inform Man Utd and an abysmal referee. Joelinton a beast, huge Ramsdale saves and whole team fed off the noise and injustice. What a finish from Osula, what a win!

Disastrous performance, deserved nothing. Cheap opener bad enough, but conceding straight after both equalisers unforgivable. Sloppy with ball, poor decisions in final third. Infuriating how much worse league form is vs cup. Everton, referee and Newcastle all shite today.

Not our smoothest performance but did what we had to without overexerting. If tie wasn’t over at HT in Baku, it definitely was tonight at 2-0 after 6 mins. We had the luxury of rotation, pleased to see younger fringe players get minutes. More intensity needed for Everton.

I hate VAR. It’s ruined the sport, I’d get rid in a heartbeat. I also don’t believe the unacceptably low levels of officiating seen in Villa v Newcastle should be a reason to retain VAR. We should all expect better basic refereeing as a bare minimum, stakes are too high.

Big win in the face of huge adversity. Tonali’s 2nd: satisfying and venemous. Buzzing for Big Nick too, deserved his goal. Make no mistake, we can count Chris Kavanagh & team as part of our opposition today. Dreadful calls on multiple decisions. Hang your heads in shame. Pure incompetence.

*Newcastle 2-3 Brentford* Another tough result as the rot continues. Our inability to score keeps costing us and team looks mentally exhausted. Brentford efficient with their chances and weathered 2nd half storm as we pushed for win. League campaign looking very stale, home and away.

A tough defeat in the rain, but I didn’t like the tone we set 1st half. We gave Villa so much space, time and encouragement. They deserved the win, but hugely benefited from the abysmal and spineless Jarred Gillett. He’s just not good enough. Better 2nd half, Miley and Botman our best.

A class performance and win under the lights to book our place in the Knockouts. We looked hungry, fluid and committed to the game-plan. Great opening for Wissa, Hall and Joelinton impressed, as did Elanga. We reminded ourselves just how dominant and clinical we can be.

Felt like a game too far after the 4-3 and penalty shootout. Thought we battled, but fatigue was evident, particularly in 2nd half. Beaten by a better team and we had chances to hurt them, but lacked conviction. Big ask to overturn 2-0 in 2nd leg.

Another bonkers game at St James’ Park! And just like Wednesday, we weren’t at our best, conceded 3, saw a Barnes brace and crucially never gave up. Progression in the FA Cup lower priority atm, but so important to keep winning streak going ahead of a big League Cup Semi-Final. 🖤🤍#NUFC

A crazy, infuriating and euphoric game of football. Plenty of chances, mistakes and goals, but a desire to fight to the end and win. Abysmal showing by the officials, but a huge win that puts us 6th. 3 Premier League points the perfect birthday present for my dad too!

A functional and frozen win against an underwhelming Palace. We dominated both halves, but showed more clinical finishing in 2nd. Big performances from Miley, Big Joe & Thiaw. Two goals from corners by Bruno and Thiaw saw the game off. Only 2 points off 5th now. 🖤🤍

A feisty 2-2 draw after one of the best 1st half displays of 25/26. We created plenty of chances but once again failed to see off opponents from a winning position. Felt 11 v 12 in the 2nd half - bizarre officiating, plenty of penalty shouts turned away. Pleased for Big Nick’s brace.

Big QF win to earn a 3rd League Cup SF in 4 seasons. A goalscoring full debut for Wissa and another headed Miley goal just enough to nudge out Fulham who offered little threat. A ponderous 1st half but more energy, impetus and invention after HT made it a deserved win.

1st half couldn’t have gone better. 2-0 up and a man up at HT. 2nd half we got complacent and gave them late hope. Incredible Bruno goal direct from a corner. Elanga’s pace forcing the red card, and another confident Gordon penalty. Excitement for Wissa’s debut & appreciation for Dubravka.

*Newcastle 2-1 Man City* Massive 3 points against a team in form. We battled, showed desire and showed our qualities. Excellent performances all around but back 4 were colossal in nullifying Haaland & co. Big Barnes brace and plenty of shithousery, well earned win! 🖤🤍

Tough result, but can’t fault the spirit of this team in the face of adversity: a selfishly absent striker and a diabolical refereeing performance. Liverpool unspectacular and their aggression unpunished. Injuries/suspension concerning, but some encouraging home debuts.

Can’t complain with a league point at Villa Park. Very strong, assertive first half had Villa rattled. But after Konsa’s red we were wasteful in the final third and made some poor decisions. Missed a striker, but still lots of positives to take. Big Dan Burn superb today.

A day of mixed emotions: not the result we wanted, but top 5 secured and that’s all that matters! A League Cup victory, 5th place in the Premier League and guaranteed Champions League football in 2025/26. An incredible season and transformative summer ahead. HWTL! 🖤🤍

After the Chelsea win I boldly/foolishly speculated that 1 more point would be enough to secure Champions League football. Little did I know that ZERO points was actually enough. A crazy end to one of the best seasons in my lifetime. Very excited about what comes next…

Beaten by a poorer side. We were blunt in attack - expected from Wilson (to the point of being a hindrance) but more poor decision-making in final third by Barnes & Gordon. Arsenal there for the taking and we didn’t do much wrong defensively. Sets up a huge final game.

A gargantuan win in the sunshine, a dogged Newcastle get the better of 10-man Chelsea. Cracking 1st half which set the tone (red card justified) but a nervy/leggy 2nd half challenged us. Massive goals from Tonali and Bruno take us into 3rd with 2 games left. HWTL!! 🖤🤍

A frustrating performance but a massive point in the race for Champions League football. Teams below us 3 points behind and with inferior goal differences. Could do with results going our way next few weeks, but still in our hands if we beat Chelsea and Everton at home.

Buzzing to have Eddie Howe back in the dugout. His presence is going to be vital for our final run-in. Some interesting stats v Ipswich: • 47 crosses into the box attempted • 78% possession - a new Premier League high for 24/25 • 19 PL wins now, 2nd only to Liverpool

A comfortable win in the sunshine. Ipswich aggression difficult for us 1st half but they struggled with our crosses in the box. We did everything but score until Isak’s penalty. A very controlled 2nd half & 2 good goals from crosses won it. Ref was v poor. Up to 3rd! 🖤🤍

A very disappointing 2nd half performance after an evenly balanced 1st. Watkins kept exposing us, Villa have been good value for the win. We’ve looked leggy and shellshocked, couldn’t get a foothold. A sobering reminder that CL football not yet secure, but we can rectify with win v Ipswich.

The team’s really hit a new level. A 2nd notable winning streak at the business end of the season for cup final and CL chase. We’re beating big teams, but also managing to see off the poor and middling teams with conviction, and without heavily relying on Isak’s goals either. 🖤🤍

Massive 3 points to send us up to 3rd! Despite favours from the officials, Palace capitulated before half time and we showed again how clinical we are. Another MotM display from Tonali who continues to be untouchable. He is the king 👑 St James’ Park is his castle 🏰

We paid the same fee for Sandro Tonali as Man Utd paid for Mason Mount. Chalk and cheese. Tonali has been transformative for us and despite how strong his form is right now, there’s still so much more to come from him. Midfield maestro 🇮🇹

Massive win in the chase for Champions League, and always a delight beating Man Utd. Barnes’ brace was impressive, and an outstanding Sandro Tonali drove the team’s performance today. 9/9 points since cup final, we really are the team to beat now while rivals stutter. 🖤🤍

A tough game under the lights but all we needed was a functional win to set the tone. A devastating attacking move before HT and a stunning world-class strike from Tonali enough to see off a well-drilled Brentford. Tino man of the match for me. Big 3 points after an emotional few weeks. 🖤🤍
