My dad was comparing being an electrician in Portland in the late 60’s, early 70’s to AI in tech today. There was a mass exodus from Portland. Salary cuts that took decades to dig out of. They had a gap in journeyman because the pay and opportunities to enter the trade were not worth it.

I went to a tech event where people pitched their project and get feedback. Dude goes first and this lady provided rad feedback which was critical but useful. The leader quickly chimed in and said, “Dude, your response should be thank you for the feedback.” I will be returning.
