➕ Why is community energy and community benefit so important right now? We asked our Smart Energy Systems Director, Mairi Brookes, why the energy transition means this is a crucial moment to ensure fairness across our communities.

🤯 It's a Mythbusting Monday - and this is a big one... Studies show that solar, wind and battery storage could comfortably power 100% of the world's energy needs by 2050. This transition will mean more habitable planet, but - according to some experts - it could also mean cheaper energy bills.

🏡 More than 15 million people in the UK live in homes that are damp, experience mould, or are dangerously cold. That means more than 1 in 5 people are living in 'unhealthy' environments.

☀️ On very sunny days, Ray Valley Solar produces more electricity than we can export to the grid – so some clean energy is simply lost. Adding battery storage at the existing site means; ➕ 12MWh solar energy can be stored ➕ £1.2 million additional funding for local communities
