A very important thing to know about this morning’s Russian attack on an apartment building in Kharkiv is that it was hit by several drones, not just one. Several drones, coming from different sides. This was a deliberate, calculated murder of civilians as they slept in their beds.

Lots of cloud last night so a shocking night for astronomy. Managed to find a few gaps. The sky is wondrous.

Hockey Canada paid approx. $8.9M in settlements for 21 sexual misconduct claims (1989–2022), with $7.6M from a player fee-funded “National Equity Fund” and $1.3M from insurance. The fund was secretly used to cover abuse cases, sparking national outrage.

This was a fun project. This is someone else's images, which they were kind enough to let me integrate and process. Why work with someone else's images? Because the Eta Carinae Nebula is southern hemisphere only. I may never see it in my lifetime.

This is a work in progress. I hope to finish it tonight if clear conditions hold. It's the planetary nebula M27, the Dumbbell, in Vulpecula. When I have it the way I want it I'll add the stars back in.
