The skies cleared up after 10pm for me last night so managed a few images. Here are C68 (nebula), C63 (Helix Nebula) and C67 - a beautiful barred spiral galaxy (45 million light years away). All taken using the Seestar S50 telescope from suburban Melbourne.

The night started off clear so I went after Comet C2025 R2 SWAN. Sadly I only got 1minute of data. It’s there, but not my best work 🤷‍♂️

For those in the Northern Hemisphere, here is the most boring section of the Large Magellanic Cloud visible from Melbourne Australia. We have an awesome sky - sadly obscured by light pollution to many....but it's there!

A brief period of clear sky last night in Melbourne so I did a quick 100min image of the Lagoon Nebula - what an amazing object in the sky. (used a Seestar S50 Scope)

My astronomy ambitions this week are not looking too good.

Last night I focussed my S50 on a single target - The String of Pearls Galaxy C72. I rarely see pictures of this beautiful galaxy...I think it is stunning.

Skies were clear last night in Melbourne so I focused on some very distant galaxies. Here is M74 - The Phantom Galaxy, and C44 - The Superman Galaxy. FYI M74 is 32 million light years away, C44 is 105 million light years away. I’ve thrown in cluster M55 for fun! (Just 17,600 light years away)
