The age/identity verification system should be an independently run industry co-op that disburses frequently rotates anonymous tokens and publishes statistics on government warrants to connect them to real names. Nothing else shared. It worked for payments infra, would work for identity too

Turns out that my kid’s year 1 teacher used magpie as a verb frequently, such as “I magpied that thing you made and added it to X for my own invention,” and (a) what a great way to introduce collecting creative references and (b) so good to have a positive counterweight to “copying” as an idea
