Something a bit different from me today. An ode to ageing like The Smashing PumpkinsâŚbrought to you courtesy of the complicated but ultimately joyful feelings I experienced watching a band Iâd worshipped in my teens perform live over 20yrs later

What do witches and babies have to do with the backlash against DEI? This weekâs Invisible Women newsletter is a rather sprawling essay that represents my attempt to answer exactly that question.

If anyone is able to share a copy of the now offline FDA guidance on including underrepresented populations in clinical trials with me Iâd be very grateful. Apparently ensuring medications work for women is part of the âwokeâ agenda now.

What if we've been talking about representation all wrong? When we talk about gender in leadership, we usually talk about female <under>representation. But what if we should instead be talking about male <over>representation?

Love to work in journalism, where you can deputy edit a political magazine, write multiple books, and write long investigative features, and a senior man in your industry still assumes you only write fluff because youâre a woman.

This is an excellent piece. I'm really pleased to see the growing pushback against meno-mongering of all kinds

Women are considered âoldâ much younger than their male counterparts: women are old at 30, whereas men donât drop into the dreaded âoldâ category until theyâre in their 50s. In this week's newsletter I've written about "women of a certain age"...

So hereâs a very cool thing Iâve just been told about! This is a still from a Chinese film, released in the UK today (US release was yesterday). Itâs a feminist buddy comedy called Her Story and thereâs a scene where one of the protagonists talks about Invisible Women on a live stream!
