PM speaks with "President of the State of Palestine". First time I've seen Canada's recognition of Palestinian statehood referenced in an official government statement. Still very far to go in bringing legal and political weight to that recognition, but that's a notable step.

Today, I have joined over 50 recipients of the Order of Canada in calling on the Canadian government to urgently convene a meeting of like-minded states in advance of a crucial upcoming review conference of the vital Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty. 1/2
