I thought the house was dry but I keep opening cupboards and finding them full of water so I guess the mission continues

anyway I'm gonna stop complaining about my flat now. it's gonna take a while to get everything back to normal but we're fine for the moment and that I'm thankful for

five floors of our building are fucked because SO much water came up into our flat and gravity being what it is all of that water travelled down into the other flats and has ruined their ceilings, their electricity, their own floors have been flooded. Four properties have been evacuated

thank you again to everyone who chipped in ❤️ I was able to buy a few dehumidifiers a wet vac and a bunch of cleaning items. Our floor will need to be replaced eventually but just making it habitable is my priority right now as our council has decided the damage that they caused is not their problem

I've spent all day squeegeeing water out from the carpet but all my furniture is waterlogged and ruined. the laminate floor has buckled and is peeling up. everything in the flat is damp and it smells and honestly I'm a little surprised I've only cried once

every square inch of my flat is saturated with dirty water and our council is doing literally nothing 😭
