True Sky 3 adventures, pt. 5. Yeah, it was the added noise from True Sky that was causing the splotchiness for sure. Now I can get away with rendering at 200ish samples and not the 512 I was before. So that means faster renderings. #scifiart #scifi #heavygear #zenlesszonezero #blender

Macs Wing Commander x True Sky 3 Adventure, part.4 By default, True Sky adds noise to the skybox for that cinematic feel. While thats great by itself, if activated when you render out an HDRI, it affects the output and creates a splotchy effect because of the Denoiser. #blender #scifi #scifiart

I got True Sky 3 from Superhive, and its been very powerful. like powerful enough to have a learning curve. I havent fully gotten the hang of it yet for what I want, but I think Im getting there. Havnt quite figured out how to get 12k+ HDRI renders working right yet tho, this one here is only 8k

The one thing I really liked about the original #StarWars Essential Guides were these tech diagrams they had drawn up. The new guides had them too from what I've seen, but they were relegated to a small area of the page, instead of having a whole page to themselves like they did in the originals.

For my Xwing video, I had to go on a whole damn journey just to verify if there's a difference between Sublight and Atmospheric speeds, as Wookiepedia says so, but AFAIK the only source from Lucas that says that, was in "Star Wars: Behind the Magic" from 1996. Which I couldn't get working.

I've been going down a rabbit hole of messing with LED light rather then using Flash like I usually do thanks to a recent shoot. So while the computer is rendering, I bust out the camera. This is just a laptop screen, a Jada die-cast Lambo, a 4in led light, and some FX overlays.
