Been having a very stressful week, but some good news has come out of it. I've begun editing my first horror movie trailer. And I'm having an absolute blast on it.

Are there any video editors out there that have used Kdenlive? If so, how would you compare it to other video editing tools? Do you think it's worth it to pick up and learn it? I'd love to hear from you. DaVinci Resolve is great and low cost but I'm wondering how good the open source alt is. Thanks!

Just over halfway finished with re-rendering the first half of Sons of Centauri with a better workflow and a few tweaks to the visuals, animation, and cinematography. This is going to be some of the most beautiful stuff I think I've ever produced. I can't wait to share it with everyone.

After a crazy holiday season, I've restarted work on VFX for the Star Wars fan film KOTOR 3: Shadow of the Sith! We're hoping to release Part 4 this spring, so keep an eye out for it! (Disclaimer: aside from *possibly* upres-ing my clips, I will not be using GenAI in my VFX for this project.)

That game is Star Wars: KOTOR. That part is the Hrakert Rift on Manaan. (Alternatively, KOTOR 2, those parts in that game being the entirety of Telos and clearing Dhagon Ghent on Onderon.)

Oof. I have mixed feelings on LLMs as a whole (trying to avoid calling them AI because they're more like virtual intelligence from Mass Effect, they're not sentient), but if this means I don't have to see it literally frakking *everywhere* anymore, then I'd say this is a good thing 😅
