I remember when a visit from a social worker really made a difference for a child I cared for. He built a genuine relationship, and it felt natural to have them visit, because he knew they cared. Call yesterday from one of our precious extended family. She wanted to say Happy Christmas, and say one of her happiest memories was every Christmas Eve going skating in Santa hats. Skating became a magical little tradition that bonded us all. She asked if we could teach her children to skate ❤️
