Learning the game “13 Days”. Playing two-handed (playing each side as I think a player would). At start of round 3, the world is on the brink of nuclear catastrophe. Love how this game creates tense moments and does it in only 3 rounds (plus the aftermath scoring). #wargames #boardgames.

Never played Final Girl. Played tonight and enjoyed it. I’m not a big horror fan, but wanted to play for research. There are mechanics in the game that I may try to use in a game I’m designing. Fun game, very thematic and was tough to win (which I didn’t). Lost fairly quickly. Good game. #boardgames

@zillablitz.bsky.social got me thinking about the game Root. My wife loves to play the Duchy faction and I tried the Woodland Alliance (1st time). We used the Bot for the Marquise. We decimated the cats, but then my wife built up for the Root version of the “Tet Offensive” and ran off with the win.

Played my 1st solo of “In the Shadows”. Wow, what a tense game to the end. I needed a Sabotage and two Recruit actions. Got Sab. then 1 recruit in Paris and then flipped a resistance cell for another try. Success with my last 3 APs.That was a close one @danbullock.bsky.social @gmtgames.bsky.social
