Christmas Eve and not a decoration in sight. Guess this is what happens when I ask someone else take care of the decorations.

Wonder if the co-workers who work Christmas would be pissed at me, if I told them we have absolutely NOTHING planned for both days. Okay, we may order out for Chinese food.... (not planning on telling them, just curious)

If you keep treating people like dirt, suppress and antagonise them at every turn, you shouldn't be surprised if, every once in a while, they strike back. Or they grow resentful of you, and refuse to abide by 'the rules'.

Update on Christmas cheer (told Unit2 that after 25yrs of doing the decorating myself, he's in charge this year) Not got any requests on getting big or little tree, or decorations from the attic. No string lights anywhere yet. I think I can safely say it's not going to happen this year.

I was up far earlier than usual and now I feel all jet-lagged. (nice to get a few hrs of daylight, though)

Self publishing is wonderful. It gives writers chances they otherwise wouldn't have. But by all that I hold dear, please get your book properly edited. I've DNF-ed too many books due to bad editing.

Just in case you're forced to bring a dish to a gathering, and you don't have the ability, the time, the energy, or the willingness to cook: Store bought is just fine. Bonus points for taking it out of the packaging, using your own dish (thrift store!) and calling it an old family recipe.

I accidentally grabbed cookies instead of crackers to go with my breakfast. Decided to just sail with it, as it wasn't awful. Tasted a bit strange, but not too bad.

Unit2 and I are planning a 'Home Alone' party this Christmas. Which is to say, we lock up the house, pretend no one's home, and attack everyone trying to come in.
