Made a thread of this, so it's easier to read I moved from philosophy to psychology in 2018. In philosophy these kinds of arguments & debates are what you're trained for & do. It was a culture shock when I arrived in a psych dept. Critique, debate & argument were depicted as rude & undermining. 1/
