I regret to inform everyone that I have heard *the* Mariah Carey song. Only now I've learned she's breached containment.

It's 7:15am. The house is quiet. Athena (left) and Persephone (right) are eating side by side, finally realising there is enough space for the two of them. Potentially, the hatchet is buried.

Semi-moved into the house. Still feels unreal. Like a dream I didn't know could come true. Athena doesn't seem to mind this dream. She's very happy. Persephone, Apollo, and Gaspard are still getting use to such a big space. Worth the trade-off of being in Toronto.

Roughly 30 moving boxes of various sizes, a couch, queen mattress and bed frame, 2 cat trees, TV and stand, a sea chest, an art easel, office desk, office shelf, a partition, a shelving unit, a large empty litter box... I think that's everything packed. It's not a lot but feels like it.

Right now I’m taking her to a friend’s to sit in an incubator to try to help while we either get in touch with Michele or find a way to at least pay to get her seen at the emergency vet ourselves- all of our funding has been going directly to our vet to pay off existing bills so we’re very low.

At least until Saturday. NGL, I'm present at the dental offices I work at and I will do my best for each of my patients, but at this point? I'm there to collect the money to pay the credit card to pay for other expenses.

The sheer amount of art supplies I have unused is going to incentive me to use it all up (even the paint!) before I buy anything. Same thing going through my clothes; ostomy-friendly some of it ain't! I'll donate once unpacked so it can be useful to someone else.

It's always the kitchen that's the last to be packed.

I don't get huge migraines, let alone do I know what triggers them, but when I do I usually can't see out of one eye for a few hours. I don't think anyone wants me to clean their teeth to the tune of me going "So I'm blinded in one eye but I'll do my best with my sickle blade."

Even if we shut down the rescue we still have to pay off those bills and I don’t know where most of these cats could even go- some have been up for adoption for YEARS with little to no applications.

The rescue lost most of our regular monthly donors and we’re starting to get into trouble with the size of our current vet bills. Worried they’re going to cut off services if we can’t make a chunk of payment towards the huge bill, but everyone is struggling and I don’t know what we’re going to do.
