Great and very traditional bonfire night last night, with an epic 20-minute firework show but no fire.

Just watched the season finale of Severance series 1 (yes, yes, late to the action) and OMG it's one of the best-constructed season finales I have ever seen. I can't think of one to top it, bringing so many threads together with such constant tension.

It is that time of year when one looks out of the window and asks, "Is it really getting dark already?" One continues to do so for another six-plus weeks.

Anyway, stoked to see how the political tendency that has spent decades cutting mental health funding, advocating for driverless trains and mocking attempts to ban big knives deals with a train driver and guard’s swift action helping end a mentally ill man’s rampage with a big knife.

I am definitely moving away from ashtanga to different, more accessible practices. Enjoying jivamukti, rocket, vinyasa (as well as yin, yin-yang etc)—trying 4-Beat Vinyasa on Tuesday. I like the simplicity of ashtanga but also I can't spend six sessions a week grappling with Marichiyasana D.

Today in cat parenting: basically stood in between bitch cat (eating) and greedy nice cat (guzzled hers, now after her sister's), telling nice cat sternly "Leave Layla alone! She's eating!"
