The technician who came to do tests for my insurance policy renewal claimed my BP was 110/70. Decided to check with our machine and got 120/80. I am fine with either. So glad that most medications agree with my body. Jardiance, candesartan, and clonidine are apparently a great combo for me.

I just finished the medical interview for the renewal of my life insurance policy. It was supposed to be 30 minutes and it went for almost 90. Does not help that I have a pretty good memory for the chronic problems I have. The old organism is falling apart. The nurse was patient.

Been feeling feelings of "contented love" recently -- when I don't need anything from those I admire and care about, and I'm simply content to know that they are alive and flourishing in the world. (I have two more hours of meetings tonight and then I'm very much looking forward to sleep.)

Was just watching more videos from Jamaica and an intact roof doesn't mean much if your house is underwater. The damage done is incredible. I am now seeing a death toll of 45, which is lower than past reports? Tragic but also miraculous when you see the wreckage.

My favourite hotel on earth (at least in Montreal). It is really a brutalist low rise motor hotel high a top of a concrete plinth. It remains gorgeous & perfect 60 years later. Heaven.
