So, in my 80s haunted house horror novel, there's an entity possessing the house that's described all eldritch-horrory when it's visible. I don't give it a gender until the 2nd part of the epilogue, where it now possesses a car that's in another series. And in that series, it has she/her pronouns.

Prepping the next batch of chapters of Bite at First Sight for my narrator and it's a bittersweet experience, as I'm at the part of the romantic development and leadup to the sexytimes and I'd based A LOT of how that leadup and culmination went with Kent and me.

Meeting with agent went FANTASTIC. The notes weren't as dire as I'd feared, in that I'm not going to have to do extensive rewrites or kill the spirit of the work. Just some very practical trimming and tweaks that will indeed make this stronger and reinforce my whole purpose for The Graveyard Girls.

My partner and love of my life was killed by climate change. If we had a normal Idaho winter, the ground would have been frozen and the tree wouldn't have fallen. Instead, the ground in late December was warm and soft as butter. And this is only part of the beginning.

I was up until 2am polishing up my short story, it ended up clocking in at just under 5100 words and I was worrying that it was too long, but today I checked my previous ghost stories for the Haunts anthologies and saw that both were over 6K, so at least I'm good there. #horror #HorrorWriting

Got my notes on my coming of age horror. Lots of work needed, as expected. As is common in my homages, I gotta make sure it's an homage and not a replay. Ironically, the first draft of my debut, Bite Me, Your Grace went similar with being a satire of Whitney, My Love before I made it its own thing.

Posted about getting more copies in of my 80s summer camp slasher romance and my sword and sorcery romantasy that's a shameless homage to Sansa Stark and Sandor Clegane and realized this perfectly represents the duality of my romance writing. And we haven't mentioned my horror without a romance arc.

I managed to pull Kent's guitar quilt from the wreckage. It only has 2 big tears and 2 holes from the tree. I painted each square and Grandma sewed it. Pretty sure my horror quilt is ok. Though yesterday, when getting prescription cat food we saw that the room caved in further into Micah's room.
