It’s wild how music, aided by memory, can collapse time. Wires by Athlete played in a supermarket, and in an instant I was back in the ICU with my premature daughter. I’d forgotten about that song, & had to pause and listen, tearing up (relief, gratitude) in the condiments aisle.
