"The City Silent" page 273. It's been forever. It's also getting harder and harder to draw. The spark just isn't there most of the time. It's been a struggle. And I've been at this one for so damned long. Still, progress is progress.

Spent a little time inking and coloring these two and I admit, they were a lot of fun to do.

Y'all were so kind about my Rabbit Thing. Here's my favorite design of him, which became a t-shirt. He's a happy-go-lucky kind of guy. :D

I wonder if this counts. He never got a name past, "Rabbit Thing."

This is a weird one from nine years ago. The main character never got a name past "pointy weasel." The rabbit was his stoner friend. Was reminded of this by reading some of @orforf.bsky.social 's work. This comic makes no sense. Probably.

My advice to aspiring furry artists is this: Please try to absorb all much non-furry art as possible - follow non-furry artists, study their work, practice non-furry subjects. I can almost guarantee your work will improve and gain depth as a result

I still like to draw with pencil and paper. Even though the final art is done digitally, I like to bear down and be messy with the pencil. That part doesn't translate to the iPad. But I am more than happy inking in Procreate for many reasons.

I don't think I've posted any of these before, all old stuff. Was talking with a couple of friends about fursonas, and how I never really had one. T' was my second pen name, Kamen Kyote the first. T' was me trying to bring more abstract work to the fandom. 25 years ago. I don't think I made it. :D

You gotta do it. Dont worry about making mistakes. Dont worry about “doing it wrong.” Learn as you go. Figure out what works and realize that the path is different for everybody. The time will pass either way, you can either spend it thinking about making comics or making comics.

I think I'm best at composition and color. I manage to keep working on projects that take many years to complete.

And one last old piece. I did this for my partner, I think for a birthday card. Don't know if I ever posted it. A mix of hand drawn and vector-built image.

One time, I tried to make comics the usual way; with a script, planned out, laid out, sketched, etc. This is as far as I got. It was also the last time I used actual panels and word balloons. I did a TON of character design with those rabbits. It never gelled.
